Mr.Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, the finance minister of Pakistan, in statement said that in principal amnesty scheme has been agreed. He announced that very soon the scheme shall be approved by FBR and likely to be implemented as soon as possible. On the other hand some sources disclosed that IMF is not in favor of this scheme. They say that the said scheme shall encourage tax evasion. Secondly, IMF is of the view that focus should be made on tax collection instead.
