The election of pakistan has proposed some positive reforms to conduct free and fare elections in pakistan. These reforms were the demands of the peoples since long. According to E.C, candidates will get clearance from all agencies and departments in respect of their tax returns, their living standard and other relevent details, which will make them elegible to take part in the elections. However, E.C. has raised the fee for both the provincial and national assembilies. One major change in rules has been proposed by which a candidate getting less than 50% votes shall not be declared successful. Let us see the reaction of political parties, media and above all civil society on these reforms.
