`BROTHERLY OFFER`

According to the contract, gas to be supplied from Iran to Pakistan, the matter is still pending inspite of the fact, brother country Iran has completed laying of pipe line from her side. It is pity, Pakistan has failed to complete the pipe line falling in her territrity as yet. The present rulers are responsible for this negligence. Any how, as per latest reports, Iran has offered some financial assistene to Pakistan for completion of the gas pipe line project. Who will give response to our brother Iran on this generous offer, is a question for Pakistani peoples.

`REFORMS IN ELECTION COMMISSION RULES`

The election of pakistan has proposed some positive reforms to conduct free and fare elections in pakistan. These reforms were the demands of the peoples since long. According to E.C, candidates will get clearance from all agencies and departments in respect of their tax returns, their living standard and other relevent details, which will make them elegible to take part in the elections. However, E.C. has raised the fee for both the provincial and national assembilies. One major change in rules has been proposed by which a candidate getting less than 50% votes shall not be declared successful. Let us see the reaction of political parties, media and above all civil society on these reforms.

Instead of elemenating corrupt, notorious and ill reputed representatives, society specially print and electronic medi, is busy in highlighting them among the peoples. This brings them more popularity and other criminal peoples are encouraged. Why not throw them out from the society, and let them leave alone, parked in their homes. When they are out of scene, same type of criminals will learn the lessons. Can`t we do this ?

In zoo, during winter at its highest temperature,Lahore,Pakistan, authorities are worried about the welfare of their animals.They are trying to save their lives at all cost during havy winter.They provide them delicious food including honey,almond,meat. white meat, fruit etc,which are never thought by a common man in his lie today..peoples face load shedding, shortge of gas, no water in homes, no cooking material, no shelter, no winter clothing, and the animals,residing in zoo get all luxry items regulaely,even enjoy bkankets and are provided with heaters. Why not all should be shifted to zoo, and get rid of all these worries...Is it a democracy ?
